Assignment

Carrying on a course already set, without betraying it

Chief executive

The organisation is not in difficulty, quite the opposite: a clear charitable mission, a stable board, teams that are well regarded, sometimes forty or eighty years of history.

The assignment

The organisation is not in difficulty, quite the opposite: a clear charitable mission, a stable board, teams that are well regarded, sometimes forty or eighty years of history. The outgoing chief executive leaves on good terms, having brought the organisation to a point of balance. But a point of balance is never a destination: there is still a course to hold, an ambition to accelerate, a culture to protect while you move forward.

What is at stake

This is not a break with the past. It is a demanding continuity: understanding in depth what has been built before touching it, taking on a culture before trying to move it. Then knowing how to accelerate without forcing the pace (a new funding model, a change in the services offered, an environmental or digital shift), while keeping the trust of the teams and of the volunteer board that carried the story this far.

The profile we are looking for

An experienced leader from the sector, able to embody a mission rather than administer it. Someone who knows that in a long-established organisation legitimacy cannot be imposed: it is earned, patiently, through evidence. A genuine conviction about the common good, beyond the job itself.

Does this sound like you?

You have already run an established organisation, with its subtle balance between a volunteer board and executive leadership. You know how to grow a mission without changing its soul. You would rather persuade than decree.

The application form itself is in French.
