Job description

SOCIAL ACTION

Chief Executive Officer (M/F)

We are seeking a Chief Executive Officer for ADSEA 77, a recognized public-interest organization and a leading player in child protection and disability services in Seine-et-Marne:

The Departmental Association for the Protection of Children and Adolescents (ADSEA 77), a nonprofit organization under the 1901 law, was founded in 1944 and has been recognized as a public-interest organization since 1971. It is a leading organization in Seine-et-Marne, comprising 21 facilities and services. It employs 850 staff members who work throughout the department. The organization operates in the fields of child and adolescent protection and disability services, supporting more than 6,000 beneficiaries each year. Since 2024, five pillars have shaped the organization’s strategic plan through 2028: strong values and ambitious support programs, teams recognized as the organization’s greatest asset, empowering those we serve, the ecological transition, and economic and social roots in the local community. Working closely with the President and the Board of Directors, you will not simply manage a program—you will embody a mission.

You champion and bring this nonprofit mission to life at every level of the organization. You unite, you bring people together, and you provide purpose: the mission of public interest is reaffirmed in every facility, every team, and every decision. You establish open, transparent, and shared governance—where everyone, from the educational teams to senior management, understands their role and takes ownership of it. You make quality of life at work a concrete priority: supportive leadership, recognition, training, and career development. You place the person receiving support at the center, empower them to take action, and ensure respect for their rights and individuality. You will commit the organization to its ecological transition—in buildings, procurement, transportation, and digital initiatives—and you will make this both an educational and a management initiative. You will establish ADSEA 77 as a key player in local development by forging new partnerships with local governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations in the department.

You hold a college degree and have at least 15 years of experience managing executive teams and overseeing multi-site organizations, ideally in child welfare or, more broadly, the social, medical-social, and social economy sectors. You have a thorough understanding of the sector’s challenges—public policy, regulatory frameworks, and funding—and you are comfortable handling financial, HR, legal, and organizational matters. But beyond the technical aspects, one thing truly matters: that ADSEA 77’s mission statement does not remain merely a document—that it becomes your daily guiding principle. Well-being, secularism, dialogue: these are your instincts, not just talking points. Your leadership is measured by your ability to embody these values, to bring people together, to lead by example—and to turn every professional into a committed advocate rather than just a follower.
