INNOVATION, DESIGN, THE PROFESSIONAL WORLD

Design for HR

Far from the discipline of Human Resources, I'm a young Colombian designer with a passion for art and culture, whose background would seem highly unlikely to a traditional recruiter (although they should get used to it with the new generations entering the job market). Originally trained in Industrial Design, I began my career in consumer marketing with an American group. This experience enabled me to discover corporate operating methods, as well as the professional aspirations and outlook of my colleagues. At a very young age, I was able to understand the advantages and disadvantages of a job and the classic career path for which we were trained.

It then became clear to me that I wanted to be an entrepreneur with the ambition of finding a what to do that was attractive, flexible and, above all, had a social impact, which is so typical of my generation. Nothing new yet!So I set up a multi-disciplinary design laboratory to provide communication solutions for the city of Cali. To this end, I brought together thirty young professionals who shared the same passion and desire. We succeeded in combining design know-how and social commitment. Encouraged by the success of this initiative, I decided to change direction and continue my training.

I'm embarking on this adventure with a first master's degree in Design and Management of Cultural Projects at the Sorbonne Nouvelle, and a second in Innovation through Design at L'ENSCI - Les Ateliers. Two weeks ago, the YourVoice team welcomed me. YourVoice is a recruitment agency that puts people at the heart of innovation. Completely in line with my own philosophy.

People at the heart of innovation: what does that mean? I'm new to the field of HR, and I have to say I'm puzzled by the concept. In fact, getting to grips with this subject has led me to discover the major questions that professionals of all generations are inevitably and quite rightly asking themselves. After various readings and meetings, I understand the obvious:

The profound transformation of work through the insidious infiltration of digital technology into our lives!

The acceleration of task automation in just about every job! Which means a pressing need for "new skills"!

All these new uses and mutations undoubtedly threaten our integrity and the assurance of a guaranteed professional future. This will have an impact on the construction of future career paths. Career paths will be increasingly discontinuous and singular.

That's what YourVoice is all about. Shaping responsible innovation at the heart of our #people_focused practices . Anticipating future skills needs can only be done by going beyond our expertise in "human matter". On the one hand, we need to understand innovation as a practice that requires awareness of what to do and what not to do before making a decision. On the other hand, we need to think of responsibility as a notion that must be present throughout the entire process, and not just at the end. In this way, we see a path of exploration in this combination of principles that challenges our actions, from start to finish, with an even greater sense of responsibility towards our customers and candidates. This experience can point us in the direction of an optimistic and humanistic anticipation of our profession, paving the way for future scenarios in which ethical transactions will be central. where ethical and balanced transactions will be central. Let's oppose artificial intelligence with human virtue and the scope of art.

Thinking outside the box is the designer's approach, and he can't help but challenge existing know-how. My challenge today is to find the actionable points in a complex interplay of players.
